Relationships

How would you rate the quality of relationships in your life?

Our lives are made up of a wide range of relationships. When they are going well - it's fantastic but when the relationship we have with ourselves or others is going badly it leads to great unhappiness, frustration and loneliness. Most of us want to find true love, to connect with our "soul mate" and aspire to the "happy ever after" dream.

Many find reality falls far short of the dream and they experience themselves making the same mistake over and over again lurching from one disastrous relationship to another.

We all deserve to be happy and fulfilled. The spiritual journey we embark on as we enter this world is all about learning. Every challenge we face has the capacity to teach us about ourselves. Einstein’s definition of madness is to keep doing the same thing but expecting a different result. This seems particularly true when talking about relationships.

The key to every relationship in our lives is the relationship we have with ourselves. When we fully accept ourselves, love and respect ourselves and embrace our power and potential, the choices we make about how we treat ourselves and the treatment we will accept from others becomes wholesome, healthy, all embracing. Every relationship based on such principles becomes an inter- dependent loving relationship where both parties want the best for the other.

You might believe that this is a pipe dream. Evidence suggests otherwise!

Where do you start?

With the relationship you have with yourself.
